Accountant

GEM Fiji seeks to a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our Administration Department based at our Head Office, 81 Amy Street, Toorak, Suva. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the finance and administration department, set goals and objectives, and meet deadlines.
  • Preparing financial & management reports, cash flow, revenue collection, accounts payable, sales, inventory, payroll and statutory required reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunity for improvements.
  • Debtor analysis, risk assessment and debt management.
  • Sales, inventory costings, production costing and analysis.
  • Maintaining Fixed Assets register.
  • Prepare Annual & Monthly Budget.
  • Ensure Tax and Statutory compliance with all tax and statutory laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies & procedures to ensure accuracy of information in line with IFRS and Statutory standards.
  • Manage relationship with all GEM stakeholders such as FRCS, RBF, FNPF, ROC, Banks, Lawyers, Insurance, External Auditors and Business Partners.
  • Other Admin & Finance tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Accounting or relevant degree.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a commercial SMB business environment.
  • Aware of FRCS, RBF, FNPF, ROC and other statuary compliance policies.
  • Member of Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants.
  • Competency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
