Trainee IT Support Engineer

GEM IT Solutions is a major Technology vendor in Fiji working with leading companies and brands to transform business operations. We are looking for a highly organised and self-motivated individual to join our team at Suva, as a Trainee IT Support Engineer

Position Responsibility:

  • Should be a Tech-Savvy with latest gadgets (Laptop, Desktop, Mobile Devices, Printers, etc)
  • Will be working in supervision of Line Manager and Senior Engineers.
  • Be a member of customer support team in IT Support and Infrastructure Team.
  • Role includes offering Level 1 and Level 2 technical support across a range of customer environments.
  • Assist customers with tech support concerns and challenges, and also recommend solutions to address needs they may have.
  • Will be required to work inhouse, remotely or onsite.
  • Reporting to the Line Manager and work closely with other GEM IT personnel, Helpdesk Coordinator, Sales Associates, Project Managers, and others.

 

Knowledge / Skills & Qualification:                                                                              

 

An IT Degree or equivalent along with Industry Certificate.

 

  • 1 to 2 Year of experience required in IT Support Role.
  • Knowledge on Windows Operating System, Office application including Office 365.
  • At least one Microsoft Industry Certification is required.
  • Network Troubleshooting will be an advantage.
  • Be a quick learner, and customer oriented.
  • Have a Clean Drivers is required.

This position involves working with ICT solutions that includes providing corrective and preventative maintenance on products and solutions supported by GEM IT.
