Senior Human Resources Officer

We are looking for an experience and self-motivated person to join our growing team as a Senior Human Resources Officer to be based at our head office at 81 Amy Street, Toorak, Suva.             

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quarterly surveys on each Line of Business operations:
    • Review Organization structure in discussion with the Line Manager(s).
    • Establish and maintain documented “Standard Operating Procedures” (SoP’s).
    • Review Job descriptions in line with changes to operational needs.
  • Ensure successful utilization of people to attain company objectives with effective workforce.
    • Training requirements: Staff learning and development /up skilling and certifications.
    • Conduct staff performance review including -salary/ pay rate reviews
  • Develop clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
  • Oversee payroll process
  • Report and advise Managers and Director on HR matters.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

 

Knowledge / Skills & Qualification:

  • Relevant qualification in Human Resource / Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years’ of working experience as a HR Officer in a Wholesale / Retail industry
  • Independent, well organized, detail oriented, strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure
  • In-depth knowledge of Employment Relations Act, HASAWA, and other relevant Laws of Fiji; HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • Excellent communicator and time management abilities.
