GEM IT Solutions is a major Technology vendor in Fiji working with leading companies and brands to transform business operations. We are looking for a self-motivated person to join our team at Suva, as Web Designer & Moodle Administrator.

Position Responsibilities:

• Web Design & Development:
• Design & UI/UX: Creating visually appealing and user-friendly website designs. This includes the creation of wireframes, layouts, color schemes, typography, and overall user experience to ensure a responsive and aesthetically pleasing web presence.
• Web Development: Collaborate with developers or take on coding responsibilities for the website (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Maintain the design’s functionality across devices and browsers.
• Moodle Administration:
• Setup & Configuration: Manage the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), configure courses, user roles, permissions, and integrations with other platforms.
• User Support & Troubleshooting: Assist students and instructors with any Moodle-related issues and provide ongoing user training.
• Content Management: Organize course materials and ensure smooth content delivery within Moodle, ensuring it aligns with the institution’s educational goals.
• Data Management: Maintain and back up user data, track system performance, and troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS.
• Report Analysis & Data Insights:
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on key metrics for web performance and Moodle engagement, interpreting data to inform website optimizations and learning program improvements.
• Stakeholder Reporting: Present data-driven insights to management, instructors, or stakeholders to influence decision-making. Provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
• Performance Analytics: Track KPIs like website load time, user behavior, course participation, and completion rates. Suggest improvements based on these analytics.

Skills & Competencies:

• A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information System, or relevant discipline; with at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Figma) and web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of the Moodle platform, including course creation, user management, plugin installation, and system configuration.
• Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics, Power BI, or similar platforms), and experience generating meaningful reports from raw data.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues both in web design and Moodle environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, translate data into insights, and provide training and support as needed.
